Empower you and your team to implement kidney supportive care.

The Coalition offers educational opportunities to help learners understand the principles of kidney supportive care and integrate essential tools into their practice.

Kidney Supportive Care Skills Series

Introduces clinicians to the core principles of kidney supportive care. Shares practical tools that can be incorporated into clinical practice right away.

The Kidney Supportive Care Skills Series is intended for groups of clinical team members who interact with patients with kidney disease. The training series is most effective when a variety of staff positions, including nephrology clinical leadership, participate in the course together.

There are 4 topics covered in this series:

  1. What it means for the nephrology team to provide kidney supportive care
  2. Shared decision-making: what are patients looking for and how to implement
  3. Communication frameworks, tools and strategies
  4. Case studies: practical application of shared decision-making, cultural humility and trauma-informed care

The course is delivered live and virtually over the course of 4, 1-hour sessions.
We work with you to find a frequency that fits your team; we recommend somewhere between once per week up to once per month.

The course is priced based on the size of the department or group attending the course.
